​What You Receive in the Physical Package:
​Pre-Filled FBR Application Form: Printed directly from the official portal, populated with your family data, ready for your physical signature.
​Official Archival Certificates: Complete, original certified civil state certificates (birth, marriage, death) for your Irish-born grandparent, intermediate parent, and yourself.
​Step-by-Step Witness Guide: Detailed instructions outlining who can witness your signature (e.g., notary public, doctor, solicitor, police officer) and how they must stamp the form and verify your photos.

​Your Next Steps Upon Receiving the Package:
​Sign in Ink: You must sign and date the application form in pen (wet signature) in the presence of an authorized witness.
​Witness & Identity Validation: Your witness signs the form, stamps it with their official seal/stamp (or attaches a business card), and certifies two passport photos and your photo ID copy.
​Mail to Dublin: Place the wet-signed application, original certificates, witnessed photos, and certified ID copy into the pre-addressed envelope provided and dispatch it to the DFA processing hub in Dublin.

Please note, professional research fees cover our archival search, record matching, application preparation, and postage fees. Official statutory government fees (such as the Irish DFA application fee of €278 for adults) and official certified registry certificates (~€20 per record) are billed separately at cost. 

Official DFA Application Fee (Paid to the Irish Government) as of August 2026, subject to change:
Adult (18+): €278 registration + €8 official secure return postage.
Children (Under 18): €145 registration + €8 official secure return postage.

Official Civil Certificates (Billed at Cost) as of August 2026, subject to change:
Irish GRO Certificates: €20 per official certified birth, marriage, or death certificate.
