Terms and Conditions of the Service

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the professional relationship between 7R4U E-Commerce LLC, a Florida Limited Liability Company ("Company") and a client or site visitor ("Client") accessing our website, purchasing our research packages, or utilizing our historical and genetic methodology consulting services.
By placing an order, submitting an intake questionnaire, or making a payment, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Scope of Services
The Company provides independent historical research, genealogical analysis, genetic data triangulation, and report compilation. The specific deliverables, scope, and estimated timelines for any engagement will be outlined in your selected service tier or custom invoice.

2. Nature of Historical & Genetic Research
Factual & Archive Limits: Historical research relies on public archives, church parish registers, land records, census returns, and DNA database matches. The Company works exclusively with available historical documentation and makes no guarantee that specific ancestral records exist, survived historical destruction, or can be conclusively linked.
Independent Methodology: Research is conducted using our proprietary analysis standards. While we apply rigorous forensic standards, historical conclusions represent professional interpretations of surviving records.

3. Client Disclosure Preferences & Sensitive Findings
Historical research and genetic genealogy frequently uncover unexpected, complex, or sensitive family discoveries. These may include, but are not limited to: non-paternal events (NPEs), undisclosed adoptions, informal fosterage, out-of-wedlock births, or institutional placements (such as asylums, workhouses, care homes, or court/prison records). During the intake process, Clients must select one of the following disclosure instructions:
Full Disclosure: The Company will document all factual findings, institutional records, and genetic links in full detail within the final report.
Pause & Consult: If unexpected sensitive findings (such as NPEs, adoptions, or institutional stays) are uncovered, research will be paused, and the Client will be notified privately to determine how they wish to proceed before findings are finalized in the dossier.
Filtered Categories: The Client explicitly instructs the Company to omit specified sensitive historical categories from the final report.
The Company accepts no liability for emotional distress resulting from factual historical discoveries when findings are delivered in accordance with the Client's selected disclosure instructions.

4. Fees, Payments, and Billing
Currency: All fees are quoted and payable in U.S. Dollars (USD) as indicated on the website or invoice.
Payment Terms: Payment must be made in full prior to the commencement of research or release of deliverables, unless a phased milestone arrangement is explicitly agreed upon in writing.
Payment Processing: Payments are processed securely via third-party processors (such as Stripe, Wise, or direct bank transfer). The Client is responsible for any foreign transaction fees charged by their own banking institution.
Refund Policy: Due to the custom, time-intensive nature of archive research and synthesis, fees paid for completed research hours, subscriptions, or delivered reports are non-refundable once work has commenced.

5. Pricing
Preliminary Case Assessment
A Preliminary Case Assessment is required before any genealogical research service or research package can be undertaken. The fee for this assessment is $50 and applies regardless of the type or scope of research subsequently requested.
The Preliminary Case Assessment covers the initial review of the information provided by the client, an evaluation of the available research possibilities, and a preliminary determination of whether there is sufficient basis to proceed with further research.
The purpose of this assessment is to determine whether purchasing a more extensive research package is likely to be appropriate and worthwhile in light of the information and sources potentially available.
The $50 assessment fee is non-refundable, as it covers the professional time and work involved in evaluating the case, regardless of whether further research is recommended, possible, or ultimately commissioned by the client.
Payment for a Preliminary Case Assessment does not guarantee that additional records, ancestors, relatives, or other requested information will be found, nor does it guarantee that further research will be recommended.
Any additional research will only be undertaken following the Preliminary Case Assessment and, where applicable, the purchase of the appropriate research package.
If, following the Preliminary Case Assessment, we determine that further research is feasible and the client chooses to proceed with one of our research packages, the $50 Preliminary Case Assessment fee will be credited toward the price of the selected package.

6. Client Responsibilities & Data Accuracy
Clients must provide accurate, complete initial information (including existing family trees, reference numbers, or DNA data access) required to fulfill the service. The Company is not responsible for research delays or dead-ends caused by incorrect or incomplete initial information supplied by the Client.

7. Research Limitations
Genealogical research is based on the examination of historical sources, vital records, archival documents, and other available information. As these sources may be incomplete, inaccurate, contradictory, or difficult to interpret, the absolute accuracy of research findings cannot always be guaranteed.
We conduct our research with due care and professional diligence, based on the sources available to us. However, we cannot accept responsibility for errors or omissions contained in original records, or for any inaccuracies resulting from them.

8. Intellectual Property & Deliverable Rights
Client Rights: Upon final payment, the Client receives a non-exclusive, perpetual license to retain, share, print, and publish the final report and customized ancestral dossiers for personal, non-commercial use.
Company Rights: The Company retains ownership of all proprietary research methodologies, internal analytical frameworks, data synthesis templates, and book manuscripts.

9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
No Psychological or Legal Advice: Company deliverables are strictly historical and genealogical analytical reports. They do not constitute legal advice, medical advice, or psychological counseling.
Financial Cap: The total liability of the Company for any claim arising out of or relating to the services shall not exceed the total amount actually paid by the Client for the specific order giving rise to the claim.
Exclusion of Damages: In no event shall the Company, its owners, or managers be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or emotional damages arising from historical disclosures or website usage.

10. Professional Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless 7R4U E-Commerce LLC, its officers, directors, and managers from any third-party claims, liabilities, damages, or costs (including legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of delivered reports, or family disputes resulting from shared historical findings.

11. Privacy & Confidentiality
Client family trees, genetic data, intake selections, and payment details are held in strict confidence.
The Company will never sell or publish Client personal data or private family trees to third parties without explicit written consent.

12. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms and any dispute arising from them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Florida.
